Privacy Policy

"Personal information" means information about an identifiable individual. It includes, but is not limited to, your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, date of birth, payment card information, account credentials, purchase and transaction history, device identifiers, IP address, location data, and any other information that can be used to identify you.

Personal information does not include aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify a specific individual.

Information you provide directly: When you create an account, purchase tickets or merchandise, register for promotions or contests, subscribe to communications, apply for employment, or contact us for support, you may provide personal information such as your name, address, email, phone number, date of birth, and payment details.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your personal information in the following circumstances:

Service providers: We share personal information with trusted third-party vendors and service providers who perform functions on our behalf, including payment processing, ticketing and venue management, email delivery, IT and cloud hosting, analytics, fraud prevention, and customer support. These parties are contractually required to protect personal information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

Business partners and sponsors: With your consent, or where otherwise permitted, we may share certain personal information with team sponsors, league partners (including the NHL, CFL, WHL, NLL, and AHL), and other affiliated organizations to facilitate services or communications you have requested.

Corporate transactions: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, personal information may be transferred to the relevant parties as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Legal and regulatory: We may disclose personal information to government authorities, law enforcement, or other parties where required by law, court order, or regulation, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of any person.

With your consent: We may share your personal information with other parties where you have provided explicit consent.

CSEC is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Some of our service providers and partners are located in the United States and other countries. When personal information is transferred outside of Canada, it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, which may differ from Canadian privacy law.

By using our Sites and services, you acknowledge that your personal information may be processed in jurisdictions outside Canada. We take steps to ensure that cross-border transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards, including contractual protections consistent with applicable law.

Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

Access: You may request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you, and request a copy of that information.

Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information about you.

Withdrawal of consent: Where we rely on your consent to process personal information, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.

Complaints: If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Marketing communications: You may opt out of receiving promotional emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or by contacting us directly. Note that you may still receive transactional communications related to your account or purchases.

Cookies: You can configure your browser to refuse all or some cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Please note that if you disable cookies, some features of our Sites may not function correctly.

Account information: You can review and update your account information by logging in to your account on the relevant Site or by contacting our customer support team.

We implement reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. These measures include encryption of data in transit, access controls, and regular security assessments.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a privacy breach that poses a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and relevant regulators as required by applicable law.

Our Sites and services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

Our Sites may contain links to third-party websites, mobile applications, and social media platforms that are not operated or controlled by CSEC. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

In particular, our Sites may link to the websites of league partners, including NHL.com, CFL.ca, and other properties. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. The specific retention period depends on the nature of the information and the purpose for which it was collected.

When personal information is no longer required, we securely delete or de-identify it in accordance with our records management policies.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to erasure, the right to restriction of processing, and the right to data portability.

Our legal basis for processing your personal information may include: performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests (such as improving our services and preventing fraud), compliance with a legal obligation, or your consent where expressly obtained.
